Three-car Pro line-up for VSR’s Italian Sprint title defence
Following an impressive 2025 campaign which saw Vincenzo Sospiri Racing (VSR) achieve a clean sweep of the Overall, Pro-Am, and Team Championships, the Forlì based squad returns to the Italian GT Sprint Championship this year with a formidable three-car entry, all competing in the premier Pro category.
With the season opener just one month away at the team’s home circuit of Imola, VSR has assembled a mix of proven champions and rising international talent to defend their crowns.

Leading the charge are the reigning Pro-Am Champions, Mattia Michelotto and Ignazio Zanon who step up to the Pro class, aiming to translate their winning chemistry into an assault on the overall title.
The #63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo II
An exciting new pairing debuts in the #63 car. British standout Georgi Dimitrov graduates to GT3 machinery after showing blistering pace in Lamborghini Super Trofeo over the last two season. He is joined by Italian Simone Riccitelli, who brings a wealth of high-level experience as he transitions to GT racing following a highly successful career in prototypes.
The #19 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo II
The #19 car features a youthful line-up. Norway’s Marcus Paverud makes a welcome return to the VSR family, bringing his GT3 expertise to partner with Paul Levet. The rapid Frenchman joins the squad after a breakout 2025 season in Super Trofeo where he established himself as one of the fastest young prospects on the grid.
"We enjoyed a 'perfect' season in 2025 and are very proud of our achievement but our focus now is entirely on the future," said Vincenzo Sospiri, VSR Team Principal. "For 2026, we have raised the stakes by fielding three Pro entries. We have a fantastic mix with Mattia, Ignazio, and Marcus racing alongside GT3 newcomers Georgi, Simone, and Paul. Starting the defense of our titles at Imola—our home track—is the perfect motivation to hit the ground running in what has become one of the most competitive GT3 championships in Europe."
The 2026 calendar consists of four double-header events, kicking off next month at the iconic Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola).
