VSR confirms two Pro entries for Italian GT Endurance Championship
Vincenzo Sospiri Racing (VSR) will field two Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo II cars in the Pro category of the Italian GT Endurance Championship this season.
The #63 Lamborghini: A Fusion of Global Talent
Leading the charge in the first of two Pro entries is a dynamic trio of international drivers. Belize’s 17 year old Alex Bowen, who made history as the youngest driver ever to claim a GT3 podium, will share the 63 car with Finland’s Jesse Salmenautio who returns to the Lamborghini family. The third driver for the Misano and Mugello rounds will be Britain’s Hugo Cook who joins the squad following a standout run in British GT last year. For the rounds at Monza and Imola, Lamborghini Factory Driver Loris Spinelli will step into the seat.
The #66 Lamborghini: The "Azzurri"
The second Pro entry features an all-Italian lineup. Fresh from their dominant 2025 campaign, reigning Pro-Am champions Mattia Michelotto and Ignazio Zanon graduate to the Pro class. They will be joined by the veteran presence of Edoardo Liberati, a long-term VSR driver who has been instrumental in a string of titles for the Forlì based team.
Vincenzo Sospiri, VSR Team Principal:
"We have a great mix of drivers for the Endurance Championship this year, combining youth and experience in both line-ups. I’m looking forward to seeing some exciting results this season in the super-competitive and always unpredictable Italian Endurance Championship."
The 2026 calendar includes four endurance races, starting next month at the team’s local track Misano Adriatico.
