CRISTOVAO AND LEVET CLOSE EUROPEAN SEASON WITH PRO-AM SECOND PLACE

2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, Round 6 – Monza (Italy)

Cristovao and Levet close European season with Pro-Am second place

In a chaotic end to the European season Miguel Cristovao and Paul Levet mastered the tricky wet conditions to take a fine second place in Pro-Am.

After mixed weather for testing and free practice the teams were greeted by sunny skies for Thursday morning’s qualifying sessions. For race one the two VSR machines lined up on row five with Levet ninth, fourth fastest in Pro-Am, and Hankey alongside him in tenth. After a chaotic start the Safety Car was called out immediately. Hankey and Levet survived the carnage to run eighth and ninth but Levet’s Huracan was carrying damage. The race restarted ten minutes before the driver change window. With no changes of position Hankey pitted for Green as soon as the window opened. Levet stayed out another four laps before pitting for Cristovao as the team changed the damaged wheel from the Turn one contact. This dropped the 66 back to seventh in class. Green lost three places when Galli spun in front of him, slipping out of the top ten but then moved back up to tenth. Both cars finished in the class points.

Light rain was falling once more as the cars headed to the grid for the final European race of the season. Green and Cristovao took the start from the sixth and ninth rows respectively. After two formation laps the race was started behind the Safety Car which stayed out for a further three laps. Cristovao pitted immediately for wets and after just one lap the Safety Car was back out again for Tang stuck in the gravel. Racing resumed just as the pit window opened. Green boxed but damage to the car forced the team to retire the number 6. Cristovao stayed out until the end of the window, running well on his wet tyres. Levet took over on lap twelve and when all the driver changes were completed was running tenth overall and third in Pro-Am. Levet withstood pressure from Perolini in the closing stages of the race and on the final lap passed Cecotto for second in class. Second place secured Cristovao and Levet fourth in the Pro-Am Championship.
